The nature here has always been fascinating us, and even now, 20 years later, we never get tired of it..

 

​Claudine is french, from Paris and and her husband Jan-Eric is  from Stockholm, Sweden.

We moved to Havøysund in 1995, to begin a new life far from the big city stress.

 

Jan-Eric started to fish in northern Norway with different ships in 1982. In 1995 he bought his own fishingboat.

On his own boat he has been professional fisherman in Northern Norway during 16 years. He has a lot of experience on the sea. Before that, he was sportfishing in Sweden .. 

 

Claudine started her own company, “Claudines Gjestehus” in Havøysund in 2002.

 

Claudine has a great experience from fish restaurants and she also had its own  attachment store for fishing equipment. She also runs "Velferden" and "Claudines Gjestehus" in Havøysund, a place where fishermen can meet and take a shower, drinking coffee, washing clothes and... lying each other about the biggest fish ..

 

We open Myrfjord Sjøhus in 2009, togeter with Torbjørn Mathisen and  before that Myrfjord was a salmon farm.

 

Today we have a total of 76 beds in Myrfjord and Havøysund. We are doing our best to make you feel at home and have an unforgettable stay. We hope you enjoy your stay with us !
